We are so excited about the changes to this year’s Red Carpet Run! Our new venue in Cocoa Village provides a beautiful run along the Indian River as well as some shade along the course. We also have Cocoa Riverfront Park (now Hollywood Central) as the backdrop for our premier Hollywood after party.
After completing the first year with offering the half marathon distance, we decided that a 15K is a better suited distance to offer during the month of September.
We want to thank everyone that participated in the inaugural Red Carpet Run and we hope you will join us this September. Be sure to follow the spotlight to the race site as you are the star for the day!
Are there age minimums?
For a 15K, our recommendation is a minimum of 16 years of age with at least 2+ years of running experience. For a 10K, our general suggestion is a minimum of 12 years of age with at least 1 year of experience running. All registrations under 18 requires a parent/guardian signature. For the 5K, our general suggestion is minimum of 6 years of age with at least 1 year of experience running. A request for an exception can be made to the race director at firstname.lastname@example.org
How do I know if I’m registered? I didn’t get a confirmation email. Am I signed up?
When registering you should have received a confirmation email. Sometimes system generated emails can be blocked depending on your email settings. Please add email@example.com to your safe sender list and to your contacts to avoid emails from the race going to your SPAM folder. You can also confirm your entry by visiting: Race entry confirmation By clicking on the link and searching for your name.
Are runners allowed to wear iPods or Headsets?
The course is open to local traffic and residents so for safety reasons, we ask participants not to wear headphones. This is extremely important as volunteers may be trying to give you information, but you may not be able to hear them. If you must wear headphones, please be sure to have one out of your ears at all times.
Can I pick up my packet race day?
Yes. Race Packets will be available at Running Zone starting Tuesday, September 24th thru Friday, September 27th from 10:00 – 6:30 pm, Saturday, September 28th from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday morning at the race site Sunday morning at 5:15 am.
Can someone else pick up my packet?
Yes! Someone else can pick up your packet as long as you have given them your permission.
Deferrals, Refunds and Transfers
We are racers and runners just like you and are sorry to hear of injuries, unexpected circumstances, and work schedule changes. We understand your request; however; there are no refunds, deferrals or transfers to other individuals.
Switching – Can I switch between events? Do I need to tell someone? How can I switch?
If you wish to switch events, you can do so but will need to let us know prior to race day. No switching on race day. Just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there a time limit on the course?
Yes, the course limit for all events is 3 hours from the start: 9:45 am.
Have you considered adding any kind of virtual event?
We have considered, but do not offer a virtual race.
